Bloomsbury Football Foundation uses the power of football to improve the lives of over 5,000 children and young people in London per week, regardless of their background or ability to pay. Established as a charity in 2018, we work to support children and young people aged 4 to 18 through the provision of football activities, enabling them to live active lifestyles, and pursue their full potential.

To help support the fundraising team's ambition of raising £3million this financial year, Bloomsbury Football are actively recruiting a Research and Fundraising Officer to support the capacity of the fundraising team.

Your role will focus on identifying and creating new fundraising opportunities.

This role will appeal to someone early in their career with a passion for fundraising and strong analytical skills.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Provide excellent administrative and logístical support to both the Fundraising Team and the CEO, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Design pitches to High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts & Foundations and Statutory funders.
  • Assist in managing the current partner portfolio, helping to compile reports for funders.
  • Working closely with the delivery teams to make bespoke approaches to researched prospects, in a number of different ways.
  • A creative approach to problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Support and, where appropriate, manage fundraising projects and campaigns.
  • Undertake every opportunity to promote a positive image of Bloomsbury Football.
  • To work in line with the organisation's values of positivity, preparation, respect and excellence.

Essential skills, experience and knowledge required

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Excellent administrative skills from working in a busy and dynamic office environment.
  • Experience of building and stewarding effective relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Confident in making decisions.
  • Passion for the work of Bloomsbury Football and an understanding of the role effective fundraising can play.
  • Sensitivity and respect for confidentiality.
