A part-time payroll opportunity in Bristol with an established business

  • A fulltime role offering £28,000 £35,000 FTE

About Our Client:

Our client is an established recruitment consultancy with offices nationwide. They are now looking for a part-time Payroll person to manage internal staff of their modern offices in Bristol.

The key duties and responsibilities for this part-time Payroll job include

  • Calculation of monthly commissions for all sales staff
  • Updating monthly salary sheets
  • Monitoring, reporting, and processing bonuses, salary changes and promotions.
  • Setting up new starters on the HR and Payroll systems.
  • Maintaining Staff Payroll information
  • Processing monthly Payroll for via Sage50
  • Producing and sending out payslips
  • Dealing with commission and payroll queries.
  • Processing leavers
  • Processing workplace pensions
  • Issuing P45s, P11ds and P45s
  • Liaising with HMRC as required
  • Assisting finance team with any payroll queries, especially at year end and during annual audit
  • Producing monthly reports for the Directors.

The Successful Applicant:


  • At least two years previous experience in a relevant position.
  • Previous experience of running end to end internal payroll.
  • Sage 50 payroll experience preferable but not essential
  • Good MS Excel skills desirable (pivot tables and v lookups)
  • Good communication skills
  • Discrete and professional
  • Numerate
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
