PERMANENT AND FULL TIME

Location:
Epsom

Salary: 60-65K pa

Hours: 9am to 5.30pm (37.5 hours)

This role is for a Senior accountant within the UK & Europe Business, responsible for the preparation, review and audit of the UK statutory accounts, as well as monthly statutory reporting.

This role provides exposure to business FDs, the UK & Europe FDand the Corporate teams in Montreal.

The role has the following key responsibilities:

Legal entity promotion into Group Corporate systems on a monthly basis. Quarterly reporting to corporate teams in Montreal including review of project position papers and other inputs into the production of the quarterly SNC-Lavalin published financialstatements.
Management of the UK subsidiary financial statements endtoend process.
Preparation of the UK registered subsidiary financial statements.
Liaison with internal departments including business finance directors and financial

- controllers, tax, treasury, company secretarial and internal audit.

Manage the external audit.
Provision of technical accounting expertise to the businesses.
Improving the processes employed in the above to achieve better efficiency and control.

The applicant should be a resourceful, confident and self-motivated individual with the following attributes and experience:

Qualified accountant with previous experience.
A thorough and logical approach to problem solving with exceptional analytical skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible able to work well in a team as well as individually, and able to work to tight deadlines and timetables.
Selfstarter able to show and use initiative.
Computer literate and have strong analytical skills.
Confidence to be able to challenge existing practices combined with the imagination to suggest and implement practical improvements.
HFM and JDE system experience is preferable.
