Assistant Administrator (Student Administration)
SBU/Department: Academic Registry
FTE: 1fte (working 37 hours per week)
Duration of Contract: Permanent
Salary: UH4 £24,248 pa to £25,138pa with potential to progress to £27,181pa on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities

  • We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who will live the University's values and will support with administrative activities for courses and students in our Student Administration Service.
  • This is an interesting and varied position that provides you with an opportunity to gain and enhance your administrative experience, with appropriate training and support.
    Skills and experience required
  • Proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organization is desirable. The role requires a high level of accuracy with data input, a strong eye for detail, and the flexibility to work on a wide range of different processes and regulations. You will also need excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to use initiative, and a flexible approach in delivering to deadlines and working effectively with key individuals.
    Qualifications required
  • You will be educated with a minimum of five GCSEs, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent, or proven professional work experience.
