About The Role:


To ensure that PD&MS Group maintains or surpasses the necessary Company, Group, Industry, National and International standards for successful management of QHSE matters.

Management of the QHSE function within the organisation.

Duties

  • Represent the company externally as the senior QHSE professional.
  • Promote the QHSE mindset throughout the organisation in a motivating and inspiring manner.
  • To develop and implement a continuous business improvement approach.
  • To provide QHSE support and professional advice to the Company, Clients and Vendors as appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of QHSE are being adequately supported within the organisation.
  • Develop and facilitate new innovative approaches to further improve QHSE attitudes and performance.
  • Functional management of the QHSE personnel within the organisation.
  • Liaise with all contracts and projects within the organisation to ensure that their QHSE needs are suitably supported.
  • Advise and support senior management team on QHSE policy issues, objectives, planning and implementation.
This includes the establishment of annual QHSE objectives and targets for the organisation.

  • Ensure continuous improvement in the Company QHSE performance and visibility.
This will include the establishment and implementation of improvement plans and appropriate performance measurement systems.

  • Liaise with Regulatory and other external agencies and industry representative bodies.
This will include, but not be limited to, the Step Change in Safety organisation.

  • Establish and maintain a best in class documented Integrated management System (IMS)
  • Oversee the development and implementation of annual QHSE audits within the overall audit schedule.
  • Establish, maintain and coordinate all QHSE related activities in support of PD&MS contracts and projects, including the allocation of appropriate QHSE resources.
  • Accountability for the input of QHSE related information to prequalifications, tenders etc.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of certification to appropriate recognised standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 18001 & ISO 4500
  • Ensure QHSE statistics are gathered, analysed and reported appropriately.
  • Ensure that Safety Alerts, bulletins and any other forms of promotion of lateral learning is distributed within the Company.
  • Ensure that appropriate QHSE improvement/Action plans are developed and implemented within the contract organisations.
  • Monitor legislative change and advise on impact to Company.
  • Ensuring timely reporting and investigation of QHSE incidents.
  • Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
  • Adherence to the company integrated management system
  • Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
