Role:
Senior Quantity Surveyor

Day Rate:
£350 - £500 (Inside IR35 and Outside IR35)
**Summary of the Quantity Surveyor role: My client is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team, on a highways contract, located in Northampton.

**Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor: As a Quantity Surveyor you should be competant in:

Application for payments on both NEC option A & E contracts
Subbie management and payments
EWNs & CEs
Forecasting
Client interface
Cost reporting assessing value to date, supply chain valuations and forward forecasting to completion
Production, management and communication of the periodic CVR documentation
Driving risk and change management, mentoring the wider project teams as part of this.
Support with pre and post contract procurement activities as appropriate
Estimating and cost planning for new projects/elements of work as they arise
Production of contractual correspondence and leading on record keeping processes and behaviours
Covering smaller contracts around the area

**Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor: - Degree qualified in a commercial discipline OR equivalent experience

2+ years' experience within similar positions
Experience working on highway schemes
Experience with the following:
Cost control and administration
Subcontractor management
Contract administration
Change Control
Budget Management Accuracy of forecasting
Good commercial awareness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Extensive knowledge of MS software
Extensive knowledge of NEC contracts, in particular Option A & E (Quantity Surveying)
Ability to negotiate
