Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technician to join our Highways team in Manchester.
Amey Consulting's Highways teams impact the journeys of millions across the UK, by working in partnership with a range of clients and providing consultancy design services for Strategic and Local Highway networks.
As a multi-disciplined consultant, we have a diverse portfolio of confirmed works and are currently working on several high-profile schemes including Sheffield PFI, Major projects such as M6 Junction 19, and work for regional local authorities via the MHA framework.

You will be responsible for:
- Assisting Engineers with inspection/design work, feasibility studies, report preparation, cost estimating,
- Preparing and assisting with drawing production
- Quality Assurance responsibilities
- Assisting with contract preparation
- Helping with the preparation of technical documentation and reports
- Dealing with projectrelated correspondence
- Maintaining high technical standards, consistent with the project brief under direction from the Engineer
- Project administration
- Assisting with compliance to the relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations
- Maintaining a strong focused client relationship
- Implementation of effective, value for money and innovative design solutions

- HNC / HND, or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Good IT Skills
- Experience of AutoCAD
- Selfmotivated and enthusiastic
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Developing good practice in Health and Safety and CDM Regulations
- Problemsolving aptitude
- Clientfocused approach to service delivery
