We are looking for an Inventory and Purchasing Supervisor for our client based near the M40 in Banbury.

Main duties in the role -:

  • Review of stock levels by agency and item on a structured monthly basis to formulate orders to be placed with suppliers
  • Ensuring Purchase orders are duly authorised in advance of placing orders with suppliers
  • Liaison with suppliers in relation to receipt of order confirmation from suppliers and any stock supply and delivery lead times
  • Filing of fulfilled purchase orders, order confirmations and communications with suppliers and internal staff in relation to orders placed with suppliers
  • Active management and monitoring of supplier backorders on a daily basis to ensure same are received as promptly as possible
  • Monitoring stock levels by line of a daily, weekly and monthly basis to minimise the risks of stock outs on any stock lines
  • Returns to suppliers
  • Liaison with suppliers in relation to product for returns to suppliers
  • Stock file maintenance ensuring stock accuracy of stock item setups for all stock lines on the inventory management system

Skills and experience required -:


  • Data management experience
  • Inventory control or purchasing, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Microsoft Office Excel advanced level required
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods
  • Ability to communicate at a high level
**This is a full time / permanent role and comes with a salary of 32k DOE
