Customer Sales Assistant (Plumbing & Heating Specialist)

What experience do you need?


With a huge product line, previous experience would be an advantage within the Plumbing and Heating sector, along with extensive knowledge of Heating and Bathroom products.

We also need transferable skills such as, Exceptional Sales Experience and Great Customer Service.

As Customer Sales Assistant you will support your Business Manager and play a vital role in our continued success, making sure we are working better for customers and providing a first class service.


What will your day to day tasks be made up of?

  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so its essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service the key thing is to be helpful and friendly, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
  • With your expertise and knowledge of products and services we offer, you will be on the front line and a pivotal contact for new and existing customers, nurturing great relationships, understanding their needs in order to offer expert advice and recommending alternatives to meet their individual needs and maximise the sale of goods.

  • Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage inventory and stock levels.
  • Ensure the safety of warehouse staff and drivers
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received and shipped.
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
  • Monitor the condition of warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure the safety and legislation of vehicles and forklift truck.
  • Motivating and disciplining staff.
  • Routing of delivery vehicles daily.
  • Picking & loading orders on to our fleet of Trucks & Vans, checking van loads. Ensuring the items are correct to the picking lists.
  • Fork lift operation & safety.
  • Keeping the warehouse and yard tidy and well organised.
  • Working closely with the Sales team to ensure order/delivery standards are met
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good practical skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing parts.
  • Being selfmotivated to achieve performance targets.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Strong sense of initiative and a positive proactive nature.
  • Working hours:
Monday - Friday 07:30 - 17:00 / :30

Alternate Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00

  • Full driving license is essential for this position
  • Fork lift experience is preferred, however, not essential
