The children, Head Teacher, staff and governors of Weston Hills Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a SENCO to join our supportive, happy and enthusiastic team.

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate excellent practice and has high expectations. The role is part time (0.2) with flexibility on the days/ hours worked.


Weston Hills Church of England Primary School is a small rural school with big ambitions for its children and community, where children are keen to learn and enjoy coming to school.


We work closely with all stakeholders to promote children's development and enjoyment of learning and offer a friendly and supportive working atmosphere, where personal professional development is actively encouraged.


  • Have a sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Understand what makes 'quality first' teaching, and effective intervention strategies
  • Be able to plan and evaluate interventions
  • Analyse data and have the ability to use data to inform provision planning
  • Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff, parents and Governors in a small school environment
  • Be prepared to play a full part in the life of our school, including contributing to the ethos and upholding our Christian values
