The RSC is looking for an experienced Senior Sound Technician with significant knowledge and understanding of sound, communications, and sound-related disciplines in a theatre environment.

This role is for our upcoming production of Julius Caesar.

This is a full-time, fixed term position based starting in Stratford Upon Avon and then touring the UK.

As a Senior Sound Technician, you will be reporting directly to the Tour Manager, where your responsibilities will include:

  • To support the daily sound requirements for Julius Caesar on tour
  • Attend to pre planning of shows and events in each venue or tour.
  • Support shows in the form of production sound and operation & radio mic prep
  • To assist scheduling within RSC guidelines of Holiday & WTD
  • To be proactive in forward planning of the department, it's staff & the smooth transfers.
  • To maintain equipment and, participate in fault finding, repair and maintenance of equipment.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with live music, in a cohesive team environment at the RSC.

  • Have proven excellent practical knowledge of sound in a theatre environment
  • Be familiar and confident with Digico SD T software

This opportunity is offered as a full time, fixed term contract, working an average hours contract of 48 hours per week, over 6 days, including evening and weekend work.

Interviews will take place week commencing 23 January 2023, with a start date of 20 March 2023.
