Summary of role


PMC are implementing a strategic transformation of business and IT systems in the coming years, to streamline the client and fee earner experience, whilst getting greater value from the products that are used.

Some of the foundational elements are a new practice management system (Aderant), a new time recording system, and a new client and matter inception system.


We require a change and adoption specialist to work with stakeholders such as, project teams, trainers and end-users to ensure we manage change and transformation effectively and we get the most out of the products deployed.


The main responsibilities are:

  • Be accountable for the creation, implementation and maintenance of a successful strategy to support the adoption of any new or updated system.
  • Work with the internal communications and project teams to create, develop and subsequently deliver change and adoption related communications.
  • Work with the internal communications and project teams to plan and implement change and adoption campaigns or targeted events.
  • Conduct change impact assessments, assessing the change readiness, any potential positive or negative impact to our business and colleagues, all whilst engaging key stakeholders.
  • Work with the internal communications and project teams drive enduser excitement to create viral adoption (e.g. excitement days, champions programs)
  • Identify any anticipated resistance, create and execute plans to avoid and overcome resistance
  • Support and engage senior colleagues with a view to building a top down approach to adoption.
  • Coordinate change and adoption strategies with any other team involved in its delivery, including comms, training plans, stakeholder analysis and securing of exec sponsorship and champions network creation
  • Measure colleague feedback using a variety of techniques, allowing for colleague feedback to be considered in terms of future product backlog and refinement
  • Adapt and refine Change & Adoption strategy and plans based on feedback
  • Continuously improve our ways of working and engaging with the business in order to further embed systems into our ways of working
  • Help analyse adoption report data and identify opportunities for further activation, and drive those initiatives globally
  • Work with stakeholders to realise benefits from new systems and projects.
  • Undertake other tasks as required.
Essential and desirable criteria

  • Experience working on large change programmes, ideally in a consulting or legal organisation
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding and communication skills
  • The confidence to influence others and challenge when necessary
  • Great analytical skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Experience in planning and delivering change workshops
  • The ability to sell the benefits of changes to colleagues
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Significant and relevant change and adoption experience
  • Experience in managing large scale organisational technology change
  • The ability to manage upwards, communicating clearly and influencing a broad cross section of sta
