Consultant - Strategic Risk Advisory

We're hiring
We are currently recruiting a Consultant to join our newly formed Strategic Risk Advisory team in London.


Aon Global Risk Consulting provides integrated solutions to help clients understand and improve their risk profile to increase profitability and protect their interests.


About the Role


The Strategic Risk Advisory team has recently been formed to address a broad range of client needs from the assessment and profiling of risk at an enterprise level, through managing the risks and improving business resilience to the financing of residual risks through insurance and alternative risk financing methodologies.

Strategic Risk Advisory also acts as an incubator to develop new solutions for emerging risks.


Our client base is one of corporate clients across all industry sectors and geographies with a focus on large clients with complex risk needs.


The team includes professionals with deep knowledge across a range of specialisms including enterprise risk management, business continuity, risk appetite, captive insurance and alternative risk transfer.

All will also have a fundamental understanding of risk management and insurance principles.


The role will be to work on projects across the practice, supporting the project leads and/or leading workstreams, providing advice to clients through analysis, written reports and presentations.

There may also be elements of R&D or product development to support our innovation agenda. Over time there is the ability to develop Subject Matter Expert status in a specific discipline.

The role will also involve working across Aon within broad teams to support the Delivering Aon United principles.


There will be opportunities to contribute to the business development, client relationship management and project management activities of the team.


About you


We recognise that there is a broad range of skills required to deliver the full vision of the Strategic Risk Advisory team and we don't expect you to come with them all.


A understanding of the fundamentals of insurance and / or risk management from a corporate perspective would provide an excellent backdrop upon which to build more specialist skills.

Most important therefore is an inquisitive and analytical mind plus the ability and desire to expand your skills and knowledge in a practical environment.


A commercial mindset capable of identifying opportunities to deploy Aon's services and the ability to effectively manage multiple workstreams would be valuable in delivering the full value of Strategic Risk Advisory.
