We have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring HR generalist to join our People Team at Urban Pubs and Bars.

This is one of those roles that doesn't come around often and gets you "smack bang" in the middle of all things People, offering tons of personal development and growth

What's it all about:


The People Coordinator will work closely with the People, Payroll and Operations Team supporting in the day-to-day running and administration of the People Function of Urban Pubs & Bars Ltd.

You'll play a key role and actively get involved across the following areas:


  • Generalist People Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Employee Relations
  • Communications
  • Learning & Development

What we looking for:


  • Personality and initiative, be proactive, and be selfmotivated
  • Flexible and adaptable, there's always something happening so you'll need to work well under pressure
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels and a real team player
  • Ideally some experience of HR/Payroll Administration
  • An interest in developing a career within Human Resources
  • Ideally L3 CIPD Qualified (or working towards)
  • Experience in the hospitality, leisure, or tourism industry
  • Preferably some experience in delivery of both group and onetoone training.
  • Recruitment skills, we always need support in bringing exciting people into the business
  • Attention to detail, integrity, and good judgement.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • A natural knack with systems (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Some knowledge of UK employment laws and experience in interpreting and implementing best practice.
