Join us as a Capital Business Analyst

  • In this critical role, you'll manage the analysis of complex risk and capital model requirements
  • We'll look to you to interrogate and interpret large volumes of data to identify the wider business impact across key outputs and processes
  • It's a fastpaced role, where you'll gain recognition for your specialist knowledge of risk and capital models

What you'll do

As a Capital Business Analyst, you'll own and identify solutions that deliver value to stakeholders, taking the lead in defining and realising solutions, processes, benefits, avoidance of cost and new opportunities, while understanding the required capabilitiesand modelling the organisation.

In addition, you'll also capture, validate and document business and system requirements and make sure that they're in line with our key strategic principles.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing capital model output for senior management to aid optimisation decisions
  • Working with quantitative analysts to interpret requirements from regulatory articles to own the translation into technical requirements for implementation
  • Owning the testing of capital output against requirements

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you'll need specialist knowledge of risk and capital models which allow for an understanding and interpretation of complex requirements relating to the firm's prudential compliance and capital optimisation.

Quantitative analysisexperience is also advantageous.

Furthermore, you'll need:

  • An indepth understanding of the Basel Capital Framework, including the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book
  • Knowledge of global legislative and regulatory approaches to the implementation of capital reporting requirements
  • Experience of using Python Standard Library, NumPys, Pandas, SQL, XML and Excel
  • A good knowledge of Bash, Powershell, Git and the use of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), including Pycharm and Visual Studio Code
