Description

We are currently looking for a Marine Field Test engineer to join a leading Chemicals company based in the Oxford area.

As the Marine Field Test engineer you will be responsible engine inspection and reporting, as well as managing field trials operation.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Marine Field Test engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders & external customers to coordinate field tests
  • Provide technical report of the outcomes of field trials to the Development Technologist and OEMs
  • Provide diagnostic and root cause analysis support for internal and external field test owners
  • Administer the field trials, maintaining close control over the operation and used oil analysis monitoring

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Degree in marine engineering, and/or strong experience in marine at a shipping company, navy/military or at a marine engine OEM (engineering, maintenance, repair)
  • Understanding of ship systems of large marine Diesel engines (2T & 4T)
  • A working knowledge and practical experience of working with on-board inspections (scheduled and short notice)
