Aviation Operations Controller - London / Gatwick Airport, United Kingdom - Air Partner Plc
Description
You will perform all functions required to ensure a safe and punctual schedule is delivered across the network, whilst meeting customers' expectations regarding reliability and punctuality.
You will work closely with other departments and external agents to manage the daily flying programme.Under the supervision of the Senior Operations' Controllers you will be responsible for monitoring, pre-empting and reacting to live daily operational occurrences.
Shifts are as follows:
2 earlies followed by 2 lates followed by 5 off
then
2 earlies followed by 3 lates followed by 4 off
then
3 earlies followed by 2 lates followed by 5 off
Earlies run 05:45 to 17:45
Lates run 10:00 to 22:00
General responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Crew rostering for all relevant flights.
- Ensuring the company FTL (Flight Time Limited) scheme is adhered to.
- Maintaining a flight watch on all flights during the shift.
- Liaising with all handling agents keeping them up to date with the daily schedule and any disruption that may occur.
- Monitoring flight plans and slots for all airports on the network.
- Providing produce reports for the management team as required.
- Inputting and updating spreadsheets relevant to flight safety.
- Monitoring weather and NOTAM reports for all relevant destinations.
- Working in a fastpaced environment.
- Managing and maintaining high service levels.
You will be flexible towards working shift system that can change at short notice due to technical or weather issues.
- Be well organised and proactive in your approach to responsibilities with an ability to work on your own initiative and to specific deadlines
- Ideally have a background in aviation operations, flight dispatch, baggage handling supervision
Desirable Skills
- FAA Dispatch Licence or equivalent
- Crew Rostering
- Extensive knowledge of ASL flight monitoring system
- Ideally possess at least 1 years' experience within a commercial airline operations department
- Ideally have working knowledge of CAP371 FTL's
- Have working experience in an OCC role with other airlines
