Estimator

Inverness

An opportunity has arisen for the role of building Estimator within Morrison Construction, based in our regional office at Inverness.

What you will be doing:

Build relationships with our supply chain suppliers and subcontractors.
Be competent in the use of IT systems.
Prepare cost estimates from first principles.
Understand design issues sustainability and modern methods of construction.
Work in a processed manner in compliance with company Business Management Systems.
Work within a wider team.
Prepare & evaluate pricing documents/bill of quantities.
Identify project risks and manage accordingly.
Present pricing documentation for finalisation and handover to construction teams.
Work with one of the largest companies in the industry.

A full training programme will be established, which will include specific training in use of Conquest Estimating software and Viewpoint document management systems.

About You:

A good understanding of construction processes and design build ups
Educated to degree level in a construction discipline or have relevant experience.
Excellent time management, able to work independently to meet deadlines.
Understanding of contract conditions and construction preliminaries.
Understanding of quantifying elements of construction and mathematical build ups.
Experience in using Word, Excel & Powerpoint. Experience of estimating would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.
Possess assured communication and organisational skills.
