** £144 - £208 per day

The English Teacher Role:


As an English Teacher, you will be teaching English to pupils in Years 9-11, following the national curriculum up to GCSE level.

It is important that you effectively differentiate your work to suitably challenge the pupils you are teaching, who are of mixedability.

As an English Teacher, you will plan, teach, mark, and assess your pupils, monitoring their progress to ensure positive learning outcomes.

It is important that you build a good rapport with your pupils to maximise their engagement.

The English Teacher:


To be eligible for this English Teacher position, you must be a qualified English Teacher with extensive experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils.

Ideally, you will have worked in an Alternative Provision previously, or a similar setting such as a Pupil ReferralUnit.

You should be an excellent communicator, taking a person-centric, trauma-informed approach to your work, ensuring you manage behaviour effectively and ensure you are looking after the wellbeing of your students.

This Alternative Provision located in South Birmingham caters for pupils in KS3 and KS4 with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour that has resulted in them leaving mainstream education.
