East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) is recruiting a Deputy Head of Radiotherapy Services to provide strong clinical leadership and support to the Radiotherapy Departments at Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals.


To realise the full potential of an integrated radiotherapy service, the Trust is looking for a dynamic and forward thinking HCPC registered Therapeutic Radiographer who has recent management experience, to work closely with the Head of Radiotherapy in driving forward service development and integration.

The service is staffed by multi-professional teams of clinical oncologists, therapeutic radiographers, clinical scientists, dosimetrists and engineers. The holistic needs of patients are met by nursing staff and Macmillan radiographers.


To provide strong, visible clinical leadership, operational management and ensure a high standard of care through appropriate risk management and governance of the multidisciplinary clinical service delivery.

To be involved in QA, Audit, complaints and service development initiatives as appropriate

To deputise in the absence of the Head of Radiotherapy by liaising with the Radiotherapy and Oncology teams to ensure continuity of service
