Description
Acorn is currently recruiting for an Installation FitterA mix of day and night shifts (premium for nights) are required along with rota-based weekend coverage, you would be working Nationwide with varying shift lengths.
Requirements:
- Employment benefits include company uniform, accommodation if required, staying away allowance and company van once your probation period has been successfully completed.
- Working in a team as well as a sole worker are essential skills along with a great work ethic and communication.
Additional requirements:
- Good understanding of the risks involved in national installation work and the H&S requirements of the job. IOSH managing safely course is not essential but a distinct advantage.
- Confident, selfmotivated person with ability to finish a job when on site and attend to all details to a high standard.
- The individual needs to be well presented and articulate in speech, as you will be the sole representative for the company and must ensure above average impressions are created on site.
- Working away from home, at weekends and on occasions at night is a requirement.
- Good levels of technical understanding are required and good hand / eye coordination necessary.
- Personal tools to complete the job are required. Any specialist tooling that is product specific, will be provided.
Job description:
- The role will report to the Field Managers / Field Operations Support.
- Working to a brief, install all POS equipment as instructed by the operations team. (Installs are scheduled according to the company's install schedule, as required by the client.)
- To load products onto the vehicle ensuring all parts are accounted for. Also ensuring these products in transit are protected and arrive on site undamaged.
- To work with a supporting fitter / team / subcontractors as required by the job.
Hours of working are tracked by the company's Field Reporting System (FRS), the fitter will be responsible for maintaining these records daily and keeping this updated in real time.
- Attendance at suitable briefs held by operations team / attendance at all company provided product training is mandatory.
- Completion of time sheets weekly and handed into HR / Payroll so hours can be costed to the appropriate job.
- When on site installing, to report back to the Operations Team on progress with the job.
- Return of any paperwork associated with the job on site.
- Any photographic information required to verify the install will be a requirement on certain sites.
