Our client is a specialist value add supplier of electronic components and custom solutions involving displays, connectors, printers, fans, ESD protection and morefrom world class manufacturers including Powertip, Fujitsu, Amphenol, Panasonic,Ebm Papst, SCS and Protek. Key markets include Defence & Aerospace, Fire & Security, Instrumentation, Industrial, Medical, Telecoms, Transport and POS.


Their close relationship with leading electronic component manufacturers, together with their own technical and product/market knowledge, enables us to offer commercially attractive propositions to customers.

To help sustain its continued growth, the Company is looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Internal Sales Executive.


Job Description and responsibilities:


These include:
-
Generation and development of direct business (Core Requirement):

  • The generation of new customer prospects and account managing those prospects from the start of the sales cycle though to the post-sales operations.
  • To look after assigned existing customers / accounts currently with them and to develop and increase these accounts accordingly.
  • Pro actively hunt for new companies and generate new opportunities for our products.
  • Pro actively call databases names to generate sales leads.
  • Record/update information on database
**Help maintain and develop Company Business as follows (Support Requirements): - **- Responding professionally to incoming sales calls.

  • Preparing quotations and literature for customers.
  • Maintaining quotations, samples and loan logs.
  • Liaise with and offer support to external sales force.
  • Resolve customer problems relating to pricing, supply and product selection.
  • Maintain customer files and records.
  • Maintain and update price lists as required.
  • Take customer orders by telephone.
  • Pass orders received to Operations in a timely manner.
  • Support marcom activities as required.
  • Interact with Suppliers as required.
  • Help with general administration including filing.
  • Help in warehouse as required.
  • Other tasks as may be required.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Our Client requires an experienced salesperson with:

  • A technical or other suitable qualification
  • preferably to HNC level.
  • Preferably a couple of years' sales experience.
  • Familiarity with products sold by them and its market place including customers and competitors would be an advantage.
  • Commercial awareness of factors affecting profitability of a Company.
  • An outgoing and presentable manner when communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues even when under pressure.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with mínimal supervision.
  • Ambition to succeed.
  • Target driven.
