  • We are looking for a Exam Officer for our client in Poplar, London._

PURPOSE OF JOB:


  • To administer external exams within New City College, taking responsibility for more complex exams or Awarding Bodies.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1.

In common with all other staff:

1.1 To support the College's mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

In common with all other staff:2.1 To participate in College-wide projects and tasks.

2.2 To work in other support services areas to meet the specific needs of workload peaks.


2.3 Such other duties of a similar nature commensurate with the grade as may be required from time to time.

This may/will require working in other campuses of the College.


3.


Particular to the Post:


3.1 To carry out all duties relating to the administration of all external exams and registrations, including but not limited to; the accurate and timely registration or entry of all students, the safekeeping of all exam materials, the running of all exams, liaising with inspectors.

3.2 Take responsibility for particular exams or processes under the direction of the Exam Managers

3.3 Process entries and Registrations on Pro Solution ensuring adherence to all Board and Group policies and regulations.

3.4 Process claims for certifications on Pro Solution ensuring adherence to all Board and Group policies and regulations.

3.5 Process results on Pro Solution ensuring adherence to all Board and Group policies and regulations.

3.6 Liaise with GCDs and Curriculum managers regarding all Awarding Body information.

3.7 Produce reports as required for internal and external use, ensuring the accuracy of data

3.8 Respond to and resolve queries from staff, students and Awarding Bodies.

3.9 Liaise with MIS Analysts to ensure that all exam related ILR errors are resolved


3.11 To work with managers and staff within the wider Information Services team to proactively suggest improvements to systems and processes to help drive up data quality and the department service standards.


3.12 To work with staff within the wider Information Services team to help ensure the accurate and timely completion of tasks.

3.13 To use the MIS helpdesk to resolve requests from NCC Group staff in a timely manner.

3.14 To input data using the School management information systems (MIS) to assist with the fully integrated student database


4.


Person Specification:

4.1 Sound experience working within a busy exams team in a large FE college

4.2 Good experience of Awarding Bodies together with their administrative processes and regulations

4.3 Experience of resolving issues with students and Awarding Bodies

4.3 High level of accuracy and a good attention to detail

4.4 Good level IT skills with the ability to use systems and experience of large central database

4.6 Experience of working as a member of a team and evidence of the ability to work effectively with colleagues

4.7 An understanding of and commitment to Equality and Diversity and safeguarding and practical ideas for their implementation in this post

4.8 A high level understanding of Data Protection and the importance within this role.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 4 months


Salary:
£15.23-£20.47 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
