Hi, I am Daniel Reeve, Team Manager for the West & Breckland Support for Success Team in Children's Services.

We have been a 'live' service since April 2021 and have established great working relationships with Team Managers in the West & Breckland patch, as well as Foster Carers, Supervising Social Workers and professionals from a wide range of disciplines.

We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do.

Through Vital Signs, our vision for Children in Norfolk, we work with whole family networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.

We believe it is vital that children are prepared and able to learn, build positive, long term relationships and receive family-based care.

Norfolk's social care model is a relationship-based, purposeful approach with Social Workers practicing in a trauma informed way, incorporating therapeutic approaches within their work with children, young people, their carers and families.

As a Support for Success Practitioner Housing Lead, you will work alongside Social Workers, Family Networking Advisors, Clinicians and Personal Advisors to provide intervention to young people to bring about positive change and support young people into their adult accommodation.

Your work will include working with care leavers who are approaching 18 years and those over 18 experiencing acute housing need, working with local Housing Authorities and other providers of supported accommodation to find the right accommodation for young people when they need it.

You will also work alongside Social Workers and Personal Advisors to support them in their work with young people particularly in respect of their housing needs and key transitions.

With the relevant experience, you will also be provided with training in the tools and interventions needed to equip you with this role.

You will receive regular supervision in addition to more informal support.

It is an exciting time to join the Corporate Parenting Service in Norfolk as we embark on transforming the way we work with children and young people to support better outcomes and to work together as a parenting network to enable young people to be successful in achieving their aspirations.

We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.

Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.

You can also find out about the rewards and benefits we offer as well as our other terms and conditions.

Closing date: 27 February 2023
