Out of School Youth Career Specialist


LOCATION:
PA CareerLink in Trevose, PA with frequent travel throughout Bucks County including but not limited to the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, PA


To assist Out-of-School Youth participants in attaining self-sufficiency through achievement of employment goals, including delivering employment-related 'soft skills' training, ensuring that each participant has a high-quality resume and the accompanying job search paperwork, teaching interviewing skills and conducting mock interviews, encouraging and enforcing workforce development curriculum (both virtual and in person), presenting at various meeting as the face of the OSY program, establishing connections with community based organizations, developing and managing paid and unpaid work experiences, reaching out to businesses and placing youth into employment training opportunities.


Salary:
$52,600

Pre-placement physical & driver's license check is required.

Minimum Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree 13 years' experience working with job seekers and employers or working with youth between Detailoriented, organized, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and understand budgets.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within Bucks County
  • Individual must be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience working with youth

Additional Information:
This position is currently operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence 3 days a week.
