About your role

Heavy Products is an extremely dynamic and exciting environment to work in - sustaining up to 16 machines per day that gives us immense pride in what we do.

Heavy Products Materials is on a transformation journey which is critical to the wider Heavy Products Business Objectives. Stability has widely been achieved, but as we progress, Supply Chain Excellence becomes a necessity. This role is pivotal to drive this transformation.

As a Group Leader in Materials, you will touch each area of our department, making this an incredibly diverse and exciting role.

This position will be mainly strategically focused, improving Heavy Products Materials Operations from machine order conception, to point of fit.

Examples of this are Inventory Control, Cost Down Activities, S&OP, and on site Material Control. The role encompasses strategic enhancement activity, rather than functional ownership.

When required, the role will also be used to tactically compliment the other functional areas in materials (Production Control, Material Planning and Logistics) when troubleshooting is required.

Role objectives are centred on DPU, Inventory and Cost Reduction.

About you

Good knowledge of cross functional Materials (Production Control, Material Planning, Logistics)
Ability to influence change and interdepartmental collaboration
Process and standardisation driven
SAP experience highly desirable
Ability to "Self-Start" and maintain high resilience
Must be highly adaptable and goal oriented. Identifying a solution is easy delivery of the solution is everything.
Must be able to demonstrate examples of the above tested expertise is imperative.
