Alloy Bodies established in 1969, the company is renowned for innovations that push the boundaries of commercial vehicle body design.

The choice of many of the UK's major fleets, contract hire and rental companies their reputation stands on merit, manufacturing in excess of 50 bodies each week.

Due to ongoing success the company is actively recruiting for a Cutting Machine Operator to work closely in the warehouse/production facility.

This opportunity is for a full-time position. 40 hours a week, 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the materials are prepared in a timely fashion ready for distribution to the assembly facility.

Appropriate training will be given where necessary. Cutting Machine / Brake Press / Guillotine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

Operating cross cut, bed and band saws, guillotine and brake press (bending) machines.
Ensure machinery is operated and maintained in a safe manner.
Ensure good housekeeping of the work area.
Daily safety checks on machinery
Involves working with steel, aluminium & wood.
Tight control of waste product.
Manual Handling required.
Ensure workload is prioritised to ensure production runs smoothly.
Follow established rules & procedures.

About you:

Experienced in same or similar industry in operating cross cut, bed and band saws, brake press & guillotine machines.
A fast learner with a passion for accuracy & organisation.
Able to closely follow instructions & processes.
Be aware of health and safety in this environment.
Fork Lift Truck (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck) driving qualification desirable, though not essential. Training is available where necessary.
