Description
3x University Compliance Admin needed in London for initially 3 months. This role is hybrid and paying £14.50 per hour.


Key Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities are the following:

  • Work in accordance with university and regulatory policies and procedures including the MoPPs, GARs and QAA UK Quality Code.
  • Review and respond to requests in line with agreed service level agreements.
  • Ensure an appropriate level of detail, combined with a high degree of accuracy, to ensure a high level of precision in daily tasks.
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as required to resolve any visa compliance issues.
  • To communicate regularly with students who have been withdrawn due to various reasons and ensure student records are updated to reflect any changes in circumstances, such as a change of immigration status and where necessary obtain evidence to confirm the student's departure from the UK.
  • Update student status changes on respective spreadsheets and report to the relevant team member.
  • To work closely with the other teams across the University to ensure that only students with valid immigration permission are allowed to register and study on a course.
  • To assist line manager in meeting reporting duties to the UKVI by contacting students who have failed to enroll onto the course within the given deadline.
  • To escalate any areas of concern in regarding sponsored students (Student Route).
  • Performs other duties as assigned and support other team members as and when required.


The above constitutes the major activities but is not a comprehensive or exclusive list of the duties required and all members of staff are expected to work as part of the Compliance team.

The Visa Compliance Manager may vary the duties from time to time, which reflect the priorities but do not change the general character of the job or the level of responsibility entailed.


Skills, experience & qualifications required - Essential

Essential

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Able to work with large, complex data sets
  • Administrative experience, preferably in the education sector
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Problemsolving
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to successfully multitask
  • Maintaining records systems
  • A proactive and enthusiastic team player
  • Selfmotivated with an ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Home Office procedures and SMS system
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education Sector and the challenges surrounding this
  • Knowledge of the Immigration Rules and the ability to interpret complex rules and regulations
  • A degree or equivalent level qualification
  • Database management knowledge
  • Knowledge of a recognised Student Records Database is advantageous
