We focus on wellbeing and individuality, so that all our people can thrive.

Why is this role important and how does it fit into the team, department and wider firm?

The Nottingham Digital and Sourcing practice sits within the Commercial team and operates on a national and cross office basis.

It has a long-standing track record of being known for advising on large scale, critical, complex IT and outsourcing transactions, in both the public and private sectors.

These projects are comparable to matters being handled by the top 20 law firms and accordingly we operate in a high pressure and high-performance environment.

This is reflected in our recent appointment to the prestigious and coveted General Legal Advice Services panel for Central Government.

No other firm in the region is on this panel.

We have specialisms in the health sector, central Government, insurance and financial services.

We advise a number of household names including FTSE100 and blue chip insurance companies, along with disrupters and innovators in the healthtech sector.

The role will involve advising and assisting clients in connection with the legal aspects of non-contentious ICT transactions, including IT and BPO outsourcings; the procurement of cloud solutions, software licence agreements, support and maintenance agreements, professional consultancy agreements and other general commercial agreements such as distribution and supply agreements; terms and conditions for goods and services; and framework agreements.

Experience of basic data protection law, social media advice, AI or blockchain would be an advantage but not essential.

We have strong expertise in large/complex ICT procurements in the central Government and insurance sectors and so any experience of advising in either of these sectors (including of public procurement procedures) would also be advantageous, but not essential.
