2nd Line NOC Network Engineer

This Network Engineer vacancy is with one of the most interesting and most well-regarded IT Service Providers in the UK and is a massive opportunity for the right person to take a significant step forward in their Networking career.

You'll be joining a team of individuals working almost exclusively on enterprise scale network environments - all operating at various levels (all the way up to CCIE).You'll be able to learn a huge amount from these individuals and they're a particularly supportiveteam, many of whom have been with the business more than 5 years (there are a couple of newbies so you won't be the only new member of the team).

This is a support role and, as you would expect, issues arising on enterprise-scale networks are often P1 incidents which require swift resolution.

You'll receive best in class training, the business will put you through relevant vendor certifications and arevery much able to support future growth with routes into Network Implementation / Delivery, Network Design and Architecture, or even Pre-Sales.


What you'll do:


  • Work in a team of highly skilled Technical Network Support Engineers supporting and managing a diverse customer base of enterprise scale businesses.
  • Assist with the management and configuration of various and often complex Networking & Communications Environments.
  • Working with a wide range of technologies including Routing and Switching, Network Security, Wireless, Data Centre, Collaboration, Digital & Cloud.
  • Working to agreed SLA's to deliver timely resolutions with a high level of customer service.
  • Major Incident, Problem and Change Management, investigating problems and providing root cause analysis.
  • Assessing and sometimes owning changes to customer environments.
  • Designing / suggesting changes for service improvement.

What you'll need:


  • An understanding and interest in LAN and WAN networking technologies; Routing / Switching, Protocols, NAT, Firewalling, Load Balancing, Security etc.
  • Ideally a CCNA in any track (this is not a requirement, if you have a comparable level of experience)
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Experience in supporting Fortinet firewalls would also be a benefit, although again, is not a requirement.

Hybrid working (2 days in office) - Offices in Horsham
**Paying up to 35k, depending on experience.
