We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clerical officer to work within our administration team in the Adult Musculoskeletal service.

The adults MSK team provides clinic based assessment and treatment for patients referred with musculoskeletal complaints.


Our admin team are essential to the smooth running of the MSK service and are based at Manor Brook medical centre.

They are an integral part of the whole team and are highly valued and respected in the overall functioning of our team.

The team consists of Extended scope Physiotherapists, Physiotherapists, Sonographers, Podiatrists and our Administration Lead.

It will be important that you have good attention to detail to provide a high quality data entry system.

The successful applicant will also work with the clinicians and support the administrative lead in maintaining records and data for reports for the team.

Good communication and telephone experience is essential, as is computer literacy as the majority of our referral pathways are via E-referrals.


You will be working closely with a highly specialist team of Physiotherapists and Podiatrists excellent team work ethos and in a very supportive and friendly environment.


The main duties of the role are to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, carers, the general public and all other staff working internally and externally to the trust.

Your role will involve liaising with G.P.s and other professionals with regards to client care, for example, processing new referrals, arranging clinic appointments, booking clinics etc


You will be required to contribute to the development of efficient administrative procedures within the department and to deal with routine enquiries and other routine matters form service users.


Your role will be vital in supporting the Administration lead in tasks such as taking team meeting minutes and distributing documents.

You will be integral to the smooth running of the department through ordering equipment and supporting clinical staff with order requests

You will be required to process discharged files ensuring accurate inputting of information to the database to facilitate efficient retrieval of files following Trust policy


The team receives referrals from GPs and you will be required to process these and oversee booking and rebooking of appointments and uploading of clinical information onto our systems.

You will be encouraged to develop yourself through attending trust courses which will develop your skills and abilities

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, carers, the general public and all other staff working internally and externally to the trust

Liaise with G.P.s and other professionals with regard to administrative duties relevant to client care, for example, processing new referrals, arranging clinic appointments, booking clinics etc

Ensure consistent and robust reporting of patient related information as requested by Administration Team Lead

To contribute to the development of efficient administrative procedures within the department as required

To carry out standard operating procedures seeking advice from other colleagues as appropriate

To deal with routine enquiries and other routine matters

To undertake reception duties as appropriate

To support the Administration Team Lead and report episodes of sickness absen
