Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with our long-standing Glasgow-based client looking to add a Sales Ledger Specialist to their existing team.

This role is best suited for someone who has at least 1 year of sales ledger experience and is looking to pursue their professional qualification.


Job Purpose:

As a Sales Ledger Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the management accountant, senior management accountant, and finance manager in the production of monthly accounts and maintaining clean balance sheet reconciliations.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Sales invoicing, process customer remittances, credit notes, RTIs, and RTCs
  • Manage remittances, including posting and allocation
  • Aged Debtors reporting and resolve related queries
  • Process finance journals
  • Ensure monthly expenses are processed according to policy and submitted to payroll
  • Handle credit card balances, recharging when necessary
  • Manage cashbook payments and bank postings
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations
  • Allocate supplier BACS payments
  • Initiate cashbook payments through the bank
