The Anchor Hotel is a charming hotel, pub and restaurant located on a picturesque riverside location on the banks of the Tyne.

We are only a 10 minute drive from Hexham or a 25 minute drive to either Newcastle or Carlisle. And we are next to the Haydon Bridge train station and bus stop.

We're on the hunt for a talented Food Truck Cook with a passion for American cuisine to join our team.

As a Food Truck Cook specializing in American flair, you'll be instrumental in crafting mouthwatering dishes that tantalize taste buds and keep customers coming back for more.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a diverse range of Americaninspired menu items, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of flavor and presentation.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food preparation areas, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, oversee ingredient stock, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure freshness and availability.
Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with patrons, and delivering orders promptly and accurately.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the food truck, including equipment assembly and disassembly, to ensure smooth operations.
Handle waste disposal and recycling responsibly, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a cook in a fastpaced food service environment, preferably specializing in American cuisine.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.
Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask effectively, and remain adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customerfocused attitude.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate food truck operations.
A genuine passion for food and a knack for creative culinary expression.
Physical resilience to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as required.
Preferred: Food hygiene certification (Level 2) or equivalent.
