Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) is responsible for providing community health services for over 500,000 people living across the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames.

This role will provide administrative support to the Dietetics Team for Hounslow which consists of eight Dietitians.

The post holder's duties will include, processing referrals and booking appointments, dealing with patient queries, ordering, and data inputting and recording into the patient records where required.

Dietetics is part of the Rehabilitation Group of services in Hounslow. The post holder will part of the Administrative Support Team for all teams in this group.

The administrative team support each other and the team lead when required, for example during periods of leave or sickness.

The Dietetic Service offers home visits, clinics, groups and remote appointments for patients referred.


To receive and process new referrals, send out appropriate documentation to clients and referrers as part of the administration hub.

To book, cancel or change appointments electronically for patients, raising and sending any necessary documentation.


To adhere to protocols given by the clinical teams to triage and process high priority referrals for the most vulnerable and at-risk patients.


To record all clinical information received and decisions made on SystmOne (Trusts Clinical system) in line with HRCH's Record Keeping Policy.

Liaise with health professionals to develop effective mechanisms in managing the referral/appointment system.

Provide a comprehensive clerical support to all professionals based in the department in line with administrative procedures.

Order and monitor the replenishment of stock levels.

Receive, unpack, check and store all stock, non-stock requisitions and items of office furniture, stationery etc. that are received at the clinic.

To participate in training and development as required and to ensure that resources are used to full potential.

To work alongside and support the Administration Team leader to help implement new systems and procedures within the department.

To cover and support colleagues in the Administration Team as requested by the Team Lead.
