The trust are looking for a Locum Consultant in Paediatric Neurology (12 months) to join the team offering 10 PAs with a 1 in 7.5 on call which may vary at times Duties would include peripatetic clinics in other districts.

You would be sharing the Paediatrics Neurology workload with several consultants on the ward offering a 24 hour service for acute and chronic neurological disorders of childhood.


Main Purpose of the role would include undertaking full range of general and specialist consultant duties and to deliver Tertiary Neurology and sub-specialist interest in neuromuscular neurology.

The Neurology outreach service now includes approximately 100 clinics per annum divided between eleven locations.

The department has over previous years developed subspecialist clinical services (e.g. in epilepsy, neurological intensive care, metabolic disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neurogenetics, neuro-oncology, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, neonatal neurology, complex tone).

Qualifications:
MBBS or equivalent

MRCPH or equivalent

Higher specialist training in paediatrics and paediatric neurology

Previous or relevant experience

Wide experience in paediatric neurology with at least 3 years in a tertiary centre

Good clinical experience in paediatrics

Full GMC Registration with a view to completing CCT within 6 months of interview date
