Kitchen Supervisor - Ramen RestaurantJapanese Cuisine £33,000 - £35,000
The Kitchen Supervisor/ Sous Chef is responsible for ensuring that the standard and quality of the food production and the hygiene within the department is always maintained at the highest level.
The job will not only consist on taking responsibility and supervising but also helping and assisting with food prep, cooking and cleaning.
- We are looking for someone that can take responsibility and is an excellent leader and team player
- Being responsible for the smooth day to day running of all kitchen operations
- Being responsible for smooth running of service and ensuring quality and high standards are kept in all the food we produce and deliver
- Being responsible of kitchen staff recruitment and training
- Oversee and supervise kitchen staff and assess staff's performance
- Ensuring that kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Managing food inventory needs, stocking and ordering, as well as coordinating food orders and kitchen equipment
- Managing relationship with suppliers, ensuring that they supply quality goods at affordable prices
- Managing food waste and keeping food cost within our internal targets
- Being responsible for health and safety as well as food hygiene practices
- Ensure kitchen records are performed appropriately in a timely manner and are all up to date

- Ability to delegate tasks effectively
- An excellent communicator, focused, with the ability of multitasking and a keen eye for detail
- Previous Sous Chef or Head Chef experience in Japanese cuisine perferred
