Full-time, 37.5hrs per week, including regular evenings and weekend work (on rota)

Coram's Fields is one of the most unique open spaces in London.

Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, opposite Great Ormond Street Hospital, our seven acre park has existed for the sole benefit of children and young people for 86 years.

A lot has changed during this time. Our park, playgrounds, sports facilities and community green spaces now welcome around 150,000 visitors every year.

Whilst our Grade II listed buildings, the only lasting remains of the Foundling Hospital built in 1739, are home to a wealth of community services, providing essential support for children, young people and families living across Camden, Westminster and Islington.

Our objective is quite simple.

To ensure our park and facilities continue to provide a safe haven for local children, where they can benefit from some of the best facilities available, whether that be our playgrounds, sports facilities, community growing spaces, wildlife garden, or indoor community hubs.

Coram's Fields is a space for children and children alone.

Coram's Fields is home to some of the best sports facilities in London, all of which are free for children and young people to use.

Our three, state of the art 3G football pitches host thousands of school children each year and our community sports programme works with over 200 young people every week, as well as delivering a number of events throughout the year.

Alongside this, our football pitches are hired out commercially to generate vital funds to support the running of the charity's park, playgrounds and facilities.

We are now recruiting to the new role of Facilities Worker - Sports and Open Spaces.

As a Facilities Worker you will be an integral part of the grounds team, responsible for the day-to-day smooth runningand maintenance of our sports facilities and changing areas.

This position will see you working closely with our Senior Facilities Worker and our wider grounds team to maintain and enhance our sports facilities and would suit someone with a background in the sports/leisure industry.

It is a public facing role and as a member of our grounds team you will be working with not only commercial hirers, but also members of both the local and wider community, to provide the best experience we can for our visitors.

We are looking for somebody with strong knowledge and experience in the running of a facilities based environment, to provide work to a high standard in the maintenance and upkeep of our sports facilites, and the park and grounds as a whole.

You'll be a team player, someone with strong communication skills, with good attention to detail who takes immense pride in their work and has a desire to provide the highest level of service to our community.

You'll be inspired by the cause and excited by the opportunity to aid in the running of some of the best outdoor sports facilities in London.
