Your role:

  • The Section Electrical Engineering Manager will plan, lead and control ongoing engineering processes and activities for their area, ensuring a full understanding of risks and priorities, and to oversee all activities to ensure they are carried out effectively
  • You will drive the continuous improvement mindset to eliminating repeat failures and ensure your team are prioritising correctly so thus we are always focusing on the areas to give the largest gains
  • The role will also give you the responsibility to lead the Plant Engineers assigned budgets and direct, lead, coach, develop and motivate employees to ensure the accountabilities of the area are delivered and to enable them to maximise their potential

About you:

  • To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience in electrical plant engineering work
  • The Section Electrical Engineering Manager will ideally be educated to degree level but be qualified to HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline as a minimum
  • You will have an appreciation of the techniques, problems and standards associated with steel or related engineering disciplines
  • You'll need to have an in depth knowledge of health and safety standards and have good experience in using and interrogating SAP or similar computerbased maintenance planning systems
