    Role Overview
Trigon Recruitment are recruiting for an Employability Caseworker for a National Training Provider who are Grade 2 Ofsted.

The role is initially full time for 6 months, the objective is to support adults 18+ and homeless or at risk of homelessness to secure affordable/safe accommodation to be able to move closer to employment, provision will be roll-on roll-off dependent on learner need.

We are looking for a suitably qualified & experienced Caseworker with either lived experience or experience supporting homeless people to access pathways to secure accommodation & employment.


  • Participants will be on programme for 13 weeks, we anticipate a minute of 15 interventions per participant over this period.
  • Delivery will be via one to one interventions, lasting between 30 and 60 minutes (depending on participant needs virtual/facetoface/telephone as appropriate).
  • We will also expect three 60 minute virtual group sessions per week and one 60 minute face to face group session, allowing for virtual and facetoface peertopeer support & sharing experiences and their success strategies whilst also increasing their confidence and selfesteem and driving motivation.

Essential Criteria

  • Must live in Sheffield and have a good knowledge of local geography, local demographics and local support services.
  • Knowledge of Government Homelessness Policy/Legislation (Housing Act 1988/Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)
  • Experience of Homelessness prevention duties
  • Understanding of Priority groups (as defined by Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)
  • Has dealt with early intervention
  • Understanding and knowledge of DWP benefits system
  • Up to date information on financial assistance schemes and knowledge of local providers

Salary:
£23,175.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
