Position Overview


Reporting to the HR Manager, this role's main responsibilities lay in supporting management team at the Redditch plant on all generalist aspects of HR, whilst providing support to the HR Manager on various HR projects.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and be in attendance (provide HR advice) at meetings for a highvolume Employee Relations issues at the Redditch (and at times the Coventry plant) such as: Attendance Reviews; Disciplinary (up to and including dismissal); Grievance & Flexible Working Requests.
  • Support Managers, providing advice and guidance in respect of all ER matters escalating complex cases and appeals as appropriate within the HR structure.
  • Work alongside other members of the HR team to ensure that all employee relations issues are dealt with in a timely manner in line with the Company policies and procedures
  • Support Managers in respect of managing poor performance and performance improvement plans.
  • Effectively manage short and longterm absence processes, to drive a reduction to below the Company target
  • Support nightshift management team with all of the duties of HR Advisor on an Ad Hoc basis
  • Work with Occupational Health & Management to ensure that all employees with restrictions or issues are being managed back into the business, escalating capability cases to Senior HO, if required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification in HRM


  • CIPD Level

  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a generalist in a fast paced and highvolume Manufacturing or logistics business with high volume employee relations is essential
  • Experience of using HR Systems, ideally SuccessFactors, Peoplesoft and Kronos, as well as Time & Attendance systems.
  • Use of HRIS systems
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Positive "can do" attitude and ability to lead by example
  • Robust decisionmaking principles
