We are delighted to be recruiting a customer focused Pre Works Surveyor to join our NPG (Northern Power Grid) team.


You will be conducting and assessing pre-site enablement of electrical job requirements, to facilitate prompt completion of service cable replacement works in properties.

This role would suit someone with experience or knowledge of IDNO (Independent Distribution Network Operator) or DNO (Distribution Network Operator) networks.


Here are some of the activities you will be involved with

  • Undertaking electrical surveys of domestic properties
  • Regularly speaking with homeowners and members of the public
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure jobs are delivered as per agreed service levels
  • Ensuring health & safety rules and guidelines are followed at all times
  • Risk management
  • Compiling as much information as possible relating to the customer's electrical supply
  • Act as a point of contact, working with our dedicated customer service team to ensure appointments are met, where possible, first time round
  • Confirm all work complies with appropriate legislative quality standards as well as general compliance

Can you do it?


Full valid driving licence is essential, prior IDNO and/or DNO experience, knowledge of the utility sector and a NRSWA accreditation would be advantageous but not essential.
