Description
Orka Financial is working with a widely recognisable, global consumer goods business based in Langley (hybrid) to recruit a varied Assistant Management Accountant role to join their high performing finance team.
The Assistant Management Accountant will assistthe Management Accountant with all aspects of the profit and loss account for the business, together with associated balance sheet accounts, as appropriate.
- To assist the Management Accountant with a production of Income Statement actual and forecast during the month end process, (Stock Expense, FX, Net Sales Adjustments) to ensure that all local and key HQ corporate reporting deadlines are met.
- To assist Management Accountant with the production of timely, accurate and complete financial information for the purposes of the annual budget process.
- To prepare relevant balance sheet reconciliations monthly and to ensure that any outstanding items are cleared and resolved in an accurate and timely manner
- To manage expense approval process ensuring policy compliance and timely approval.
- To produce cost centre reporting and analysis within monthly deadlines ensuring accuracy of information provided to the Cost Centre Managers and to respond to any queries in a timely manner
- To maintain and update expenses system with quarterly fuel rates, customer lists and updates in departmental structures, leavers and joiners, approval flows.
- To maintain the accounting organizational chart monthly, and provide the necessary information about any changes to the relevant departments, and ensuring the system reflects the changes as required
- To provide cover for team members in times of absence with relation to manual payments made via online banking system and all BACS payment runs according to the BACS authorization procedure and cash flow actual and forecast updates
- To continually look for cost saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
- To continually review, update and test controls to ensure relevance and robustness
- To support on any ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the Management Accountant
Profile:
- Actively studying towards a suitable Accounting Qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Experience in an accounting environment
- Experience of working to strict deadlines
- Has dealt with multiple profit and loss accounts and multiple cost centre analysis
- Efficient in Microsoft office
- Excel skills
- Proven knowledge of SAP R3 (or similar system)
- Attention to detail and good problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Salary:
£32,000 - £40,000 + study + benefits
