At Defence Equipment and Support we are seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer to join our team in the delivery of Integrated Logistic/Product Support (ILS/IPS) for the Apache Attack Helicopter, Mk1 and AH-64E.


We will guide, support, and train you to contribute to the availability of operational Apache helicopters and their affordable support.

Initially you will be managing the current Mk1 aircraft and implementing the Mk1 disposal programme in 2024.

Moving forward you will be implementing ILS programmes for the new AH-64E and optimising support to meet customer targets and user requirements.

This role is based in our offices at Yeovil and in-office attendance will be expected as required.

Please note:

That salary offers above the £32,500 - £35,000 range will only be made based on exceptional performance at interview.


Responsibilities

  • Support both Operations and Project Managers in the delivery of inservice support, and future disposal of the aircraft fleet, associated spares, and equipment.
  • Support the management of obsolescence risks and mitigations and determine the most cost effective throughlife resolution.
  • Contribute to support analysis as part of ensuring the right support solution is in place.
  • Provide asset management system throughlife upkeep, collaborating with engineering and supply chain colleagues to ensure maintenance and asset records are accurate and current.
  • Contribute to procuring the right equipment/product and/or contribute to Post Design System modifications and updates.
  • Manage support stakeholders, customer, and suppliers by coordinating and tracking support solution progress to agreed milestone(s) and target(s).
  • Adhere to governance and assurance policies and procedures, to their assigned business areas, contributing to support solutions being cost affordable, supportable and within business and Defence assurance envelopes.

Person specification

  • Previous experience either working in a; logistic/equipment/product/asset management, engineering, maintenance environment, or have a related qualification/study/interest.
  • Experience in delivering customer service.
  • Ability to investigate data/information and solve problems.
  • Experience in producing reports/findings for identifying trends/issues for communicating recommendations.
  • Evidence of working collaboratively with others in a team or part of a stakeholder group.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
