We have a fantastic opportunity for a

Health & Safety Assistant to join our clients innovative, state of the art manufacturing facility on the outskirts of York.

Immediate start available

The Role:

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, you will work cross functionally with the Production teams supporting various departments and external stakeholders with onsite H&S, identifying and managing risks and welfare of company employees

.

Responsibilities:

Use preventative measures to keep up with equipment maintenance
Continually identify opportunities for ongoing improvement
Continuos assessment of risks and potential safety hazards across the business
Work in conjunction with contractors/consultants and manage actions as required
Manage internal and external plant checks/inspections
Maintain and manage a system of review for controlled H&S documentation
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Act as the channel in relaying key Environmental, Health & Safety information across the wider business
Conduct & carry out internal compliance audits, log and report on findings
Support internal stakeholders regarding their Health & Safety responsibilities and those of their team
Provide 1st day induction training to all new starters including contractors and temporary personnel
Maintain and update all relevant actions logs
Deliver toolbox talks across the business
RIDDOR reporting as required
