Main responsibilities:


  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Sales Ledger processing
  • Purchase Ledger processing of sterling and currency ledgers.
  • Sterling and currency bank reconciliations
  • Expenses reconciliation
  • Supplier payment and credit control
  • Verify that transactions are correctly entered in purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger.
  • Process quarterly VAT returns and submit to HMRC
  • Liaise directly with suppliers and customers as required
  • Preparation of quarterly reconciliations and reports for handover to our Accountant.
  • Liaise with payroll bureau
  • General administration and some HR duties
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
  • Assist with other tasks arising in a small office environment
  • Preparation of annual profit and loss budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation and monitoring of annual and shortterm cash flow forecasts
  • Provide product costing as required
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual management accountants
  • Analytical review of accounts against budgets and established KPI's
  • Attending management meetings as required
  • Preparation of detailed schedules and management information for Statutory Accounts preparation
  • Collation of Corporation Tax information as required
  • Liaising with Accountant to ensure accounts and submissions meet HMRC deadlines.

  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills
  • Handson experience with spreadsheets and proprietary accounting software
  • Proficiency in English and ability to communicate clearly
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately

Additional Information:


  • Working Hours
    :Monday-Thursday 8:30am5:00pm and
    Friday 8:30 4pm(Hybrid working and early finish on Friday) Will consider parttime._
