National Account Manager - Retail

  • Working for a PLC operating into the retail and grocery sectors
  • Market leading manufacturer of laundry vending solutions
  • Offering a partner based consultative approach to their customers and continuing to strengthen
    existing relationships

The Role:


As a
National Account Manager, you will be selling a range of laundry vending equipment and maintenance services into the retail sector initially but then growing into the Grocery sector thereafter - mainly dealing with Tier 1 clients.

Youwill be selling to a mix of decision makers including Board Members, CEOs, MDs, Area Regional Managers, Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers.

The successful National Account Manager will need to be flexible in their approach and have a true understandingof the retail or vending industry at national accounts level.

This role is field based and you will be out most days conducting client meetings.

This is a consultative approach dealing with a lot of head office contacts and ensuring that service levels arefollowed through within the regions.

You are responsible for increasing the product portfolio and your role will eventually evolve into generating new corporate clients within the convenience and leisure sectors.


Client Requirements:


  • This is a relationship sales role you will be consultative, provide clear and honest communication and be able to build long and trusted partnerships within your customer base.
  • You must have experience of managing and developing national accounts into head office level.

We will consider the following:

  • Experience of selling a product/service into the retail sector
  • Vending background at head office level
  • Have sold laundry machines
  • We are looking for driven, ambitious and enjoy winning new business
  • You will be used to negotiating at a board level and utilise all sales technologies

The Package:

- £55,000-60,000 OTE £80,000

  • Fully expensed company car
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Location:

The National Account Manager role will cover the UK but the majority of the clients are based in London and the South East.

You will be field based with a mixture of working from home and attending meetings with clients face toface.
