This company is a leader in the finance space, offering a broad range of credit products to its customers and partnering with a number of well-known brands.

This award-winning business is forging a new path in consumer finance and this is an exciting opportunityto be part of an innovative and growing team.

They are seeking an experienced individual to lead their underwriting strategy.

THE ROLE

This role will oversee underwriting for the business, focusing on setting new credit policies and the direction of underwriting strategy.

This will see you work on:

Leading the underwriting team and working closely with other Senior members of the business to ensure compliance
Creating and delivering customer impairment budgets to optimise profit and quality
Oversee and drive credit strategy, specifically to lead credit underwriting
Driving customer marketing strategies and leading analysis on how to improve performance, as part of wider policy management

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in driving improvements in credit risk, specifically with a focus on underwriting and ideal to have an understanding of manual underwriting
Exposure to both prime and nearprime customer groups
Prior experience in scorecards and decisioning models used credit underwriting and SAS programming
Experience in leading credit teams and communicating with stakeholders
Background in credit risk within financial services
