FACTORY OPERATIVE

Job Title:
Manufacturing line operative - within Sectional Core/ Conventional core
Shift 06:00-14:00 (38 hours/week)
Reporting To:
MANUFACTURING MANAGER
Responsible for/Duties (full training will be given):
- Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is to process cores (radiators) through the manufacturing production line with regards to Bearward's procedures and specifications in accordance with Company standards, specifically;
- Assemble components onto jig as required, using sash clamps to compress product
- Working at heights using platform
- Operating lifting equipment
- Checking quality of the product during the process
- Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping
- PPE supplied; safety glasses, ear protection, overalls, gloves, safety boots (and visors where relevant)
Key Skills, Competencies and Personal Attributes:
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to follow processes, especially health and safety/manual handling
Willingness to work flexibly
Good communication skills
Practical, hands on person
Manufacturing background desirable but not essential
