Salary:
Up to £25,640.00 per annum inclusive of 8 sleep ins payments per month
Hours: 40 hours per week

Cedar House is a 4 bed residential home that looks after young people between the ages of who have Social, Emotion and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
The home is situated in Sheffield and offers a holistic approach, safe, stimulating and supporting familyenvironment where young people can live, learn and develop.
This home is based in Sheffield and is within commuting distance of Rotherham and Thurcroft.The opportunity
This is a role with an exciting career and development plan, structured to ensure our staff are trained, supported, and continually developed.
We want to give you the best possible toolkit, to deliver outstanding care and support to our Children and youngpeople and help them achieve incredible outcomes.
There will be a thorough induction, fully expensed training courses, the opportunity to be enrolled on an accredited diploma and pairing with a buddy, which together will help you expand your knowledge, get qualifications, and prepare to become a QualifiedCare Worker.
The Role
Acorn Education and Care work directly with vulnerable children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and complex needs.
You will be patient and compassionate and, most of all, dependable - working hard to forge a much-needed relationship of trust withthose in your care.
This will involve learning about the young person's interests as well as their dislikes and their triggers, using that connection as a launchpad for a rewarding relationship.
You will be responsible for the wellbeing of the children or young people in your care.
This will include chaperoning the children to appointments and activities, completing relevant paperwork, undertaking household tasks, and where appropriate administeringmedication.
Working as part of an incredible team of committed care workers, you will co-operate and share knowledge and learning to the benefit of great care.
Excellent communication skills are essential, both in terms of teamwork and - most importantly - as you willbe in close contact with the children you care for.

You don't need any experience to join our team.
If you come from hospitality, the army, outdoor activity centres or an office-based job but are eager to help vulnerable children and young people to live happy, fulfilling lives, this is the role for you.
We know that the children and young people in our care can be challenging, and we are looking for Care Workers who are up for that challenge.
You will be friendly, approachable and kind in your dealings with the children and young people.
You will be committed to giving them the space and opportunity to thrive, playing your part in creating a nurturing environment in which they can fulfil theirpotential.
You will play a key role in the smooth-running of the site, and you will have a good grasp of safety and hygiene, and a conscientious dedication to the young people's wellbeing.
