We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Student Lifecycle Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team within the newly formed Directorate of Student and Academic Services.
This role will be part of Delivery Services and is within the Student Lifecycle team which covers assessments, certificates and verifications, enrolment, and graduation.
This role will suit an individual who has worked in a role in a supervisory capacity, can lead on and deliver work plans to a defined schedule of activity to exceptional standards and meet agreed service level agreements.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Within this role you will have the opportunity to work across and gain experience in all areas of the student lifecycle; assessments, certificates and verifications, enrolment and graduation.
This is a role where you can make a real difference to the experiences that our students have, for example being the first team to welcome students through enrolment activity, delivering graduation ceremonies in a prestigious venue and arranging assessments.
You will report to the Student Lifecycle Team Leader and will collaborate with the wider team to co-ordinate and supervise the delivery of all student lifecycle functions, this will also be a hands-on operational role where you will be involved in all activities.
You will work with staff and students to gather feedback which you will use to ensure that action is taken to ensure we continuously improve the services we deliver.
You will produce high quality data and use this to support planning and delivery of exceptional events and key services.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as part of a team and coordinating work plans, to successfully plan, prepare and deliver key events and activities across the student lifecycle (assessments, certificates and verifications, enrolment, and graduation).
- Deputise for the team leader.
- Oversee and update the student records system (SITS) and run reports to review data for activities.
- Work closely and build positive working relationships with Faculty Student Centres and other professional services group to deliver all activities within your remit.
- Lead on developing FAQ's, website and intranet updates as well as delivering staff training where required.
- Proactively request feedback to improve services delivered and act where required.
- Answer staff and student queries to agreed timeframes.
- Order goods/supplies required for events, liaison with suppliers and completion of required processes in relation to procurement.
- Create and issue communications where appropriate to students, working collaboratively with appropriate departments e.g. Marketing and Communications.
- Prepare schedules, examination packs and invigilating exams.
- Take an active role at Graduation Ceremonies undertaking tasks as allocated for all ceremonies (summer and winter).
- Respond to and completing requests for award verifications and issuing award certificates and transcripts.
- Produce reports and progress updates on activities in your remit, supported by data.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant vocational qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or able to demonstrate equivalent work experience and relevant skills.
- IT skills, very good standard of Microsoft Office and use of a student records system (ideally SITS).
- Must be a team player with excellent organisation skills, ability to motivate a team.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to manage queries.
- Previous experience in a relevant role and with experience in a supervisory capacity or where have been responsible for leading on events/activities.
- To be able to coordinate and support the leadership team on proactive delivery of student lifecycle services.
- A high degree of selfmotivation and a selfmanaging workstyle, with the ability to work independently.
- Resolve day to day operational problems where possible using own initiative and refer those that cannot be resolved to others in a timely manner.
